We bet on ourselves and our teammates to bring the Unrivaled x Wayfair partnership to life. I worked with a small but mighty in-house team on this collaboration, leading all of pre-production—from kick-off to on-site styling—ensuring we had a clear strategy to tackle big tasks efficiently and collaborate seamlessly. Shoutout to my Wayfair teammates Kara O'Brien, Julia Frisch, Tess Meyer, and Deja Turner, and to our Unrivaled partners Jane Zorowitz and Alice Shing for delivering every step of the way!
Co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled is revolutionizing women’s professional sports with a player-ownership model and the highest average salary of any women’s pro league. Wayfair Arena is more than just a venue; it's a home base for the league’s biggest stars. "Our goal in constructing a purpose-built facility for Unrivaled athletes was to make sure players felt like they had everything they needed under one roof, and Wayfair was critical in bringing that mission to life," said Alex Bazzell, Unrivaled President.
Our Wayfair team designed, staged, and styled five key spaces at Wayfair Arena in Miami, including the Samsung Galaxy Courtside Club, Players' Lounge, and Content Studios, plus three player apartments for an immersive ASMR home tour experience. The Unrivaled social team shot and edited content based on their creative concept for YouTube Shorts and collaborative Instagram posts between Unrivaled, Wayfair, and the players. This was a journey of close collaboration and continuous learning, where we applied those insights to this brand-new league, bringing their vision for these spaces to life.
Fun Fact: Some of the product b-roll I captured was used by the Unrivaled team in their videos! In case you didn’t know, I love being hands-on throughout the entire creative process whenever possible.
